One of the telltale signs of spring is the start of the baseball season. The Rockies home opening series is one of the most exciting times to be around LoDo thanks to the buzzing atmosphere and warm spring weather. Take a look at the top ways to spend Opening Weekend in Denver!

Viewhouse
The Viewhouse in LoDo is always a favorite among Rockies fans with its close proximity to the stadium, incredible food, outdoor area, and of course, the view. If you’re heading to opening day on Friday, doors will open at 8am and the party will start with DJs, cornhole, and $4 Coors Lights. If you’re heading to the games on Saturday or Sunday, rest assured, Viewhouse will be loaded with happenings all weekend (and season) long!

Jackson’s
Before you head into the stadium, you’re bound to see Jackson’s on your way, right across the street from Coors Field. Jackson’s is everything you could ask for and more for a Denver sports bar and grill. The prime spot for pre-game festivities includes their one-of-a-kind burgers and “all-you-can-drink” gameday specials. Even if you don’t have tickets for any of the games, it’s hard to beat their rooftop patio with plenty of TVs for a great atmosphere regardless.

Coors Field
The obvious choice here is, of course, Coors Field! Whether or not you have tickets to any games this weekend, LoDo will be an exciting place to take in the start of the baseball season. However, we’re lucky to have such a great ballpark known for its unique food items over the years. At the concessions stand, be sure to try out the new Elote Topped Tots – which are served in a helmet – and the Shishito Peppers. If you missed out on the Rocky Mountain Po’boy’s debut last year, that is a can’t miss menu item as well!

From all the events to great food, and electric spring energy there’s no better place to be this weekend than in LoDo. On top of that, the Rockies will take on division rival, the Dodgers, which means a home opening series win will be even sweeter!
